By accessing or using Shared by Travelers, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. About the service

Shared by Travelers is a user-generated travel inspiration platform. Travelers may upload photos, tag cities, provinces, countries, and properties, save posts to boards, and discover places to stay. We do not process bookings or payments directly.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us of unauthorized use.

4. User content

You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform and in promotional materials for the service.

You agree not to upload content that:

• Infringes copyright, privacy, or other third-party rights
• Is unlawful, abusive, misleading, hateful, or sexually explicit
• Contains malware or attempts to disrupt the platform
• Impersonates another person or property without permission

5. Property and place tags

Tags and references to properties or destinations are provided by users. We do not guarantee that tags are accurate, verified, or endorsed by the property owner unless explicitly stated.

6. Moderation

We may review, remove, restrict, or disable content or accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

7. Third-party links

The platform may link to third-party websites such as property booking pages or host portals. We are not responsible for third-party content, terms, or privacy practices.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that content on the platform is complete or accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shared by Travelers and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
